Why We Built This Site
Pennsylvania gives the public access to many court records through the Unified Judicial System, local filing offices, and the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008. The hard part is figuring out which Adams County office holds the file you want. The Prothonotary handles civil and family filings for the Court of Common Pleas. The Clerk of Courts handles Common Pleas criminal records. The Clerk of Orphans' Court and Register of Wills handle marriage, estate, adoption, guardianship, and related probate-family matters. The Magisterial District Courts handle traffic, summary criminal, preliminary criminal, landlord-tenant, ordinance, and smaller civil matters. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee notes, and request steps for these Adams County and Pennsylvania resources into one place.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Pennsylvania court, Adams County clerk's office, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
